The Essex Murders
Michael Steele had to kill Pat Tate.

Pats friends were collateral damage.

Michael knew that if he didn’t kill them all, they would killed him, eventually.

Netflix would have done it better.

I remember those. Most of the S’s were upside down cos they were leaning over bridges when they painted them.

Re: The Essex Murders
I won't pretend to know the ins and outs of what actually happened with the Land Rover murders. There have been about 5,000 different interpretations - most of which are bollocks, guesswork and "bloke dahn pub said..."

But some of the evidence of police corruption that traversed Essex and the Met was "accidentally" destroyed, the Met later admitted, when officers "accidentally" shredded a lorry load (it genuinely filled a lorry) of documents years later.

Branded - ag ag ag!

Loved that graffiti. Damn signs were still everywhere, years later, when I was growing up not far from the LEB office he'd allegedly robbed (when there was not a shred of evidence).

Didn't his supporters also target the cricket at Headingley just before he got released for wrongful conviction?

The full op Tiberius report is available online, I found it quite interesting lots of familiar places in it. Essex police are completely corrupt

Re: The Essex Murders
Manuel, funny you mention Kenny Noye. Nothing to do with him, but old timers may of heard of George darkie Davies, George Bradshaw, Nicky Gerard and Tommy Hole? Seems they were all faces in the 70-90s. Hole, and Joe "The Crow" Evan were shot dead in the Becton Arms in the late 90s. Plenty of old faces had it in for the young upstarts.

My old school mate Roger was the Pizza shop manager who Tate beat up the night before. Lovely bloke (not Tate)

Re: The Essex Murders
Done some reading up on this over the years, and its pretty obvious who arrange this. THE MAN WHOS NAME WE CANNOT MENTION. Lots of links to some of the stuff going off in the 90s. Some names come up with a large West Ham link. Darren Pearman who was stabbed to death in Epping Forest country club, by a bouncer. The bouncer Ron Fuller, was then shot dead 9 months later. No ones been charged with this murder. The link to all this seems to be a West Ham one/Canning Town firm. Another name to pop up was Dave "Rolex" King. Interesting lot. The old saying "Live by the sword die by the sword"!!!

I’m watching the first episode as I type, they would not have known a thing about what was happening. All very quick and very brutal.

Got what they deserved.

I’ve seen the post-mortem photos. Not a pretty sight seeing what a shotgun does close range.

Some people are still totally fascinated by this case almost 30 years on and there is even a Facebook group relating to the Range Rover.
True crime is certainly a big industry endless films books podcast's and documentaries on various historical cases.
The Kevin Lane story is another one that gets an awful lot of publicity on you tube podcast's and the like..
